SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2 nd (2:00- 4:00pm) Wine Tasting at the Marietta Wine Market. " Theme: "South America Wines" (Open to the Public) Cost : $ Charity Donation: : American Heart Association" This week we set our sight on South America. The countries of Argentina and Chile are having a major impact on the wine market in the U.S.. More and more they are producing award winning wines that fall between the $10 to $20 dollar range. This Saturday we will sample some wines we currently carry as well as some that are new to the market.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 6 th (5:00pm- 7:00pm) Wine Tasting at the Marietta Wine Market. Theme: "Wine & Cheese Pairing" (Open to the Public). Cost: $ Charity Donation: "American Heart Associaton" Bring your friends and stop in for what has become one of our most popular tasting. Once again we will select five cheeses and pair them with wines from around the world. As always thanks for your continued support. Hope this will be a great year for everyone!.     2008 Cobb Heart Ball

    What: Cobb Premier Black-Tie Gala

    When: Saturday, February 9, 2008

    6:00 p.m. - Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction

    7:30 p.m. - Dinner, Dancing, Program, and Live Auction

    Where: Cobb Galleria Centre

    Why: To provide funds for Research and Education in support of the American Heart Association, benefiting society by reducing the incidence of heart attacks, strokes, and their disabling effects.

    Accomplishments:

    Now in its 24th year, this prestigious social event hosts more than 650 attendees from the medical and corporate arenas, as well as community leaders. Some of our many supporters are listed in the official program for the 2007 event.

    The Cobb Heart Ball has generated more than 3.7 million dollars during the last two decades. Multi-year research projects at Georgia universities and hospitals are funded by the American Heart Association. The funding is valued at millions of dollars per year. The Cobb Heart Ball proceeds constitute a significant portion of these funds.

    Reasons to Participate:

    • Cardiovascular disease is the nation’s No. 1 killer!

    • Stroke is the nation’s No. 3 killer!

    • Cardiovascular disease is the No. 2 cause of death (behind accidents) in children under the age of 15.

    Fifty-five percent of the contributions from the Cobb Heart Ball are used to fund the educational programs of the American Heart Association. Twenty percent of the contributions go toward research efforts. Fifteen Percent is spent in additional fund raising, and the remaining ten percent pays management costs.
