"Zolo Winery from Argentina"

Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends, Inc

Did you know that 219 pets die in
Atlanta metro shelters every day? Compare this to 54 pets per day in
Chicago and less than 400 pets per year in San Francisco. Our pet
overpopulation problem here in Atlanta is staggering, and we must
act, both for the sake of the pets and for our legacy as a city.

SAVE THE DATE: April 18, 2009
"219: The Show"
a benefit to raise awareness and much-needed funds
to address the pet overpopulation in Atlanta.
The evening will feature 219 pieces of art and craft
from local artists and artisans, each piece representing one dog or cat
who will lose his or her life in a county shelter that day. Most of the
works will be featured in a silent auction running throughout the
evening, while 2-3 major pieces of art will be auctioned off live at
the end of the evening.
Additionally, a raffle of non-art related events
will be held throughout the night. The program will feature both
informational and entertaining components, and a buffet and bar will be
available to attendees.
Our goal for the evening is to raise $30,000, which
will allow us to save hundreds of pets from euthanasiain an Atlanta
shelter.
