On Sunday, February 24, The Center for Family Resources once again brought the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to Atlanta as it hosted Oscar Night® America at the Cobb Galleria Centre. For the seventh consecutive year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences granted CFR the privilege of hosting Atlanta’s only Academy®-sanctioned event.
The event, co-chaired by Bob & Elaine Feldberg and Jerry & Cheryl Nix evoked the excitement and carefree spirit of the ‘Roaring 20s.’ The evening included live jazz entertainment and silent and live auctions. Attendees watched the live telecast on two big screens and received official Academy Awards® ceremony programs. All proceeds benefit the low income and homeless families in our community.

The red carpet is rolling out in Atlanta. Entertainment’s biggest show debuts in 2009 with renewed energy, glamour and excitement. Refreshed with a new venue and format, Oscar Night® America – Atlanta will continue to impress over 600 guests at the Sponsors Dinner, an exclusive dinner reserved only for our sponsors. We will also welcome individual ticketholders to join our sponsors at Atlanta’s only official Oscar®-viewing party that will allow guests to experience the entertainment of the evening in an elegant theater setting.
