Selena Estates burst on to the wine
making scene in 1998, since then the winery has garnered over 250
gold and silver medals for their wines. A small family run company,
their goal is to produce affordable wines without compromising on
quality. This Wednesday we will sample five of their best wines.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd (2:00- 4:00pm)
Theme: "Leal Winery "
Frank Leal, at age twenty eight, purchased 45 acres
of land in San Benito County near the town of Hollister. Located in
the upper end of the Central Coast Valley, Leal produces stunning
Syrahs, Chardonays and Rhone style wines. Most of these wines are
limited and will only be available for a short while. Plan to bring
your friends and experience some great wines.

Jerry
met his wife in South Africa back in 1980. Together, they have seen
the world and been through a lot. In October of 2003, their life was
thrown for a loop when Jerry was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal
cancer. Since that time, Jerry battled cancer and a plethora of
other health battles that had nearly taken his life. His cancer has
metastasized considerably throughout his body.
Despite the incredible battles he
waged against this disease, he still believed in living an active
life. In fact, he and his wife have visited 14 different countries
before in passed away in March of 2007. Overall, he believed a
positive attitude is key.
HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management
Association) is having their Second "February is Jerry Walker
Nursing Home Volunteer Month". MDS (Medical Data Systems) is
even sponsoring their event, donating $200 to the person who
volunteers the most hours.
This prompted Neeva to make February their Official Jerry
W Walker Colorectal Cancer Foundation Month. She kindly ask you to
please donate at least one hour of your life to kindness. Whether you
take someone food, pay them a visit, whatever you want to do - I promise
you, it will make a difference.
