WEDNESDAY, MAY 16th  (5-7pm) Wine Tasting at the Marietta Wine Market. Theme: "The Wizards of Oz !" (Open to the Public)  Cost: Charity Donation:
The country of Australia may have become famous producing Shiraz but they also offer a wide array of other varietals including outstandindg Chardonnays, Propriatary Blends, Cabernets and Rieslings. Drop by on Wednesday and get a taste of what the land down under has to offer.

 

 

  

THURSDAY, MAY 17th   "MBA Breakfast" at the Marlow House (8-9:30am)  It's a NEW date for Marietta Business Association breakfast. Join us each month on the third Wednesday of the month from 8:00am until 9:30am for networking and interesting speakers. The event is held at the Marlow House located at 192 Church Street NE, Marietta, Georgia 30060. Experience Marietta's rich heritage, from the vibrant Downtown Square, past grand Antebellum homes, to the battlefields at Kennesaw Mountain. FRIDAY, MAY 18th "Ghosts of Marietta Walking Tour" (7:30pm)  This tour is the original tour that made Ghosts of Marietta famous. Here you will find yourself walking the streets of our haunted city by lantern light, guided by one of our talented storytellers. This tour is approximately 90 minutes and the walk is under a mile. FRIDAY, MAY 18th   "Jagged Stones" at the Strand Got a hankering for a little rock and roll? How does some Rolling Stones sound? Fantastic and awesome? We knew it! The Jagged Stones will be coming to Marietta this May with their Rolling Stones tribute show complete with Stones favorites, a eeriely Jagger-esque lead singer, and the full sound and showmanship you'd expect from any truly rocking concert. If you're a Rolling Stones fan or rock and roller at heart, you're not going to want to miss this show. Tickets on sale now. 

SATURDAY, MAY 19th "FREE YOGA & Trunk Show" with BeYoga (9am-12:30pm)May is National Health and Fitness Month. And to celebrate Be Yoga is sponsoring a FREE community yoga class on the Marietta Square Saturday, May 19th at 9am. Reggie Jones will lead an all-levels vinyasa flow class. We will have a few mats to borrow, but we highly recommend you bring your own mat if possible. Afterwards, Lululemon Roswell Showroom will be hosting a trunk show from 10:30-12:30pm in the newly expanded Be Yoga studio. The market has products that are Georgia grown, made or produced.  That include fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, plants, flowers, honey, breads, garlic, cheese and other such items

Saturday, May 19th  "Mother/Daughter Jewelry Workshop and Tea" 10 a.m. - Noon at the Cobb-Marietta Museum of Art   Enjoy light refreshments, as you create beautiful jewelry works with the ones you love! SATURDAY, MAY 19th   "Disco Night" at the Strand. the Hustle and dance the night away to a live DJ and that funky disco beat. This is a public dance party on The Strand stage. That's right- you get to dance around to the flashy lights and thumping music of disco with all of your friends on our stage-turned-dance floor.Come dressed in your finest polyester and platforms for a costume contest, and prep some of your best moves for the dance contest.
