FRIDAY, APRIL 27th- APRIL - 28th  The Atlanta Lyric Theatre Presents "Ragtime" at the Strand Theatre (8pm) At the dawn of a new century, everything is changing... and anything is possible. FRIDAY, APRIL 27th-APRIL 28th "To Kill a Mockingbird" - at Theatre in the Square. Young Actors Playhouse presents Harper Lee's classic American masterpiece, "To Kill a Mockingbird". This timeless, coming-of-age story centers around a close family in rural 1935 Alabama and how their lives are forever changed by the controversial trial of a black man accused of attacking a white girl. Performances are April 19th - 28th at 7:30 and 3:00pm. Presented at the Theatre in the Square, 11 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta GA 30064. Tickets are $10.00 - $15.00. FRIDAY, APRIL 26th "SIP N' STROLL" (5:30pm) Marietta Tree Keepers invites you to attend their next Sip n' Stroll. Visitors are welcome to bring their own evening refreshments and MTK will provide water and light snacks.  The event will only be cancelled if it is raining heavy or lightening.  Park at Lewis Park, 475 Campbell Hill St. , Marietta, GA 30060 and sign-in at 22 Hillside Drive where the tour will begin.

FRIDAY , APRIL 26th "Glover Park Concert Series -Symphony Saturday" The Glover Park Concert Series (8-10pm) The concerts are free of charge but if you're looking for a "front-row seat," a limited number of tables can be reserved -- $45 for tables of six and $55 for tables for eight. Tables reservations are taken on a first come basis and may be reserved the first working day of each month. Blankets and lawn chairs only may be set up in the park after 4 p.m. Personal tables are not permitted in the park, however they may be set up on North Park Square after 6:00 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner (beer and wine are permitted) or dine in one of the many fine restaurants located on the square.

 FRIDAY, APRIL 26th  "Carnival of Doom's Creature Feature - Plan 9 From Outer Space" (10pm) at The Annex (25 Powder Springs Street in historic Marietta Square) Join us for the inaugural Creature Feature Friday, April 26th at The Annex (25 Powder Springs Street in historic Marietta Square) to witness the horror of Ed Wood's infamous Plan 9 From Outer Space. We've partnered with The Carnival of Doom to bring Marietta what has been deemed "the worst movie ever made" by the "worst director ever" in this presentation of a drive-in gone wrong. You're welcome.  
 
Pre-screening sideshow entertainment from the Carnival of Doom's friends Captain & Maybelle along with other carny folks. Sword swallowing, human blockhead and feats of wonder abound. For those 21 and over, Burnt Hickory Brewery will also be have samples available of their ONE NIGHT ONLY blood red Vampira craft beer.

SATURDAY, APRIL 27th   "Marietta Square Farmers Market"( 9 a.m.- 12 noon) located on the Historic Marietta Square.The market will take place every Saturday - rain or shine - April 6th through December 21st. The Saturday market has 60 plus vendors featuring home grown vegetables, cheese, bread, eggs, fresh flowers, local honey, baked goods, meat, mushrooms and milk every weekend. Free parking is available all day in the two county parking decks. SATURDAY, APRIL 27th "Marietta Square Artist Market" "( 9 a.m.- 2pm)Created in 2011 as a natural extension of the wildly popular Marietta Square Farmers Market. The "Marietta Square Artist Market" is an open-air market and cultural event that will be held on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month April-Nov. 9AM -2pm. The Artist Market is a student only, fine art juried event located on Mill Street from Church Street to the railroad tracks in downtown Marietta.

Here you will find yourself walking the streets of our haunted city by lantern light, guided by one of our talented storytellers. This tour is approximately 90 minutes and the walk is under a mile. SUNDAY, APRIL 28th "Taste of Marietta" (11am-7pm) The entire Square will be closed. We're expecting 60-70 restaurants and will have Bubba Burger Kid's Alley and Sports Corner sponsored by Sports Radio 790 the Zone featuring the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Thrashers and more. TUESDAY, APRIL 30th "Toddler Tuesday" (2 years +) at the Cobb-Marietta Museum of Art 11-11:45am) $5 per class This class is a great opportunity for toddlers (and parents!) to explore, create, and make a mess! Children will create works inspired by our collection of art or a short story read in class. This class focuses on developing fine motor skills and introducing children to a structured classroom environment. Our motto is "It's the process not the product!"
