Itenerary:

Day 1: Wednesday

We will arrive at S.F.O. around 10:30 a.m.After collecting our luggage we will board our chartered Motor Coach and head out over the Bay Bridge to our first destination, Artesea Winery. Set high into a hilltop with panoramic views of Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay and its own estate vineyards, it will be easy to see why Artesa is called the Jewel of Carneros.Perhaps no other winery captures the multi-faceted beauty of this windswept, world-famous appellation as dramatically as the Artesa estate, where the fusion of architecture, artistry and winegrowing reaches soaring heights. At Artesa we will be greeted with a champagne reception and then a tour and tasting of their outstanding wines along with heavy cheeses and Hor'dourves. We then head over to Reynolds Family Winery where our friend Steve Reynolds will guide us through a tatsing of his exceptional wines along with some tasty food.Steve has been voted best boutique winemaker in Napa Valley the last three years. We then check in to our luxurious accommodations at the Avia Hotel in downtown Napa.

Day 2: Thursday

We will board the Motor Coach around  9:30 a.m. for our first stop at Domaine Chandon, part of the Moet Chandon family from France. We will start the day with a tour of the property and then sample some of their champagnes and still wines along with light appetizers. Then we board the Coach for a ride up highway 29 to Beringer Winery Estates for a tour and tasting that will include one our favotite wines, the 97 Beringer Estae Reserve Cabernet. We then head off to Calistoga , California's cute little spa town, with natural hot springs and mud bath spas to relax the tensest of visitors. It's a low-key place compared to the rest of the Napa Valley and with lodging and a bicycle rental shop right in town, it's an easy place to have an automobile-free weekend or to take the family. You will have time to shop and have lunch before we head to one of my favorite wineries, Elizabeth Spencer where we wil  enjoy a tasing of their best wines out in their beautiful courtyard, located in the heart of Rutherford.

Day 3: Friday

On our third day we will visit some of the wineries that were featured in the 1976 Paris tasting including one that took center stage in the movie Bottle Shock. Our first stop at the top of Napa Valley will be Chateau Montelena, where we will get a tour tour of the property and see where some of the winery scenes were filmed along with a tasting of their famous wines. We will then head down the valley to Freemark Abbey where, you guessed it! we will taste more wines along with lunch in their beautifu outdoor garden area. Then it's off to Clos Du Val, a beautiful winery located on the Silverado Trail and producer of some of the areas best wines.

Day 4: Saturday

Our day four starts with a tour and tasting of Castillo di Amorosa Winery. The castle interiors, which include 107 rooms on 8 levels above and below ground, cover approximately 121,000 square feet  Among many other features it has: a moat; a drawbridge; defensive towers; an interior courtyard; a torture chamber; a chapel/church; a knights' chamber. We will then head to Vi Sattui, a beautiful Italian Market for lunch and a private tasting in their courtyard. Our last stop is Peju, one of Napa Valleys most beautiful tasting rooms highlighted by their 50 foot French Provencial Tower.A spectacular way to finish our days tour.

Day 5: Sunday

Sunday is a free day for everyone, you can simply enjoy the shopping in Napa or for those that are still adventurous, there are a wide variety of activities to enjoy. A partial list includes a trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train, Bicycle Tours of the Vineyards, Hot Air Balloon Riding, Golf, Mud Baths in Calistoga, or if you prefer you can rent a car and set out on your own .We will be happy to arrange your extra events or set up a tasting at other wineries at no charge. Day six we will gather in the lobby for our trip back to the airport or you can extend your stay and take in the sights of San Francisco.
